Looking for Household Items for Your Skin Care? Your Search Ends Here

One of my friends had told me that instead of looking for those artificial products in the market, it is much better to look for household items, which do not have any side effects. Besides, it proves to be more economical as well. When I say household items, I want to mean the very items that you and I have to deal with every day. For instance, have you ever thought that the inner side of a banana peel can act as a great teeth whitener? Or have you ever imagined that a little bit of cornstarch can really make wonders to make your hair shinier? If not, then here are some of the household items that you can use. I have used it, and I am sure you will benefit from this as well.

Cornstarch

Yes!! Believe me, a little bit of cornstarch can act as a very good substitute for a shampoo. In fact, it is indeed an all natural dry shampoo that will take care of your hair and your scalp in the best way. It will make your hair even stronger from the root, and will also act as a hair root cleanser.

Banana peels

Let me get back to where I started from – using banana peels in an innovative way. Yes, you can use the inner side of banana peel as a very good teeth whitener. Just rub the inner side of the peel along the bottom and top set of your teeth for about a minute, and sit for about 10 minutes or so. Then get a dry toothbrush and start brushing it. Continue this for a few weeks and then see the difference.

Ice trays

Coming back to skin care and associated issues, you can use ice cube tray for custom blending the lop colors or foundations, by using two or more color shades. All you will have to do is to rinse and then pop it in the dishwater.

Matches

The rough strip of a matchbook will act as a nail filer in a pinch.

Cold pressed avocado oil

This particular oil, which you can get from any grocery store, will help you hydrate dry patches on your face and anywhere in your body. Besides, it will help you smoothen the texture of your skin, and reduce redness. It also helps in plumping up the fine lines and keeping the pores of your skin clean. Latest studies have also revealed that avocado oil can increase collagen synthesis, and can also help cure irritation of skin.

Baby Powder

This extremely common household product can be used to make the eyelashes look full and long by the makeup artists. On the other hand, just a little bit of baby powder, with mascara can act as skin softener.

Magic Erasers

Magic erasers can help you remove the makeup stains and can also help in removing the self tanner streaks. All you need to do is to dampen the sponge, and run it over the affected area. The streaks will disappear instantly.

Coconut Oil

Frankly speaking, I find this one of the best products, when it comes to taking care of the skin and hair. Just massage your skin with coconut oil daily, and you will find it turning soft and glossy, and devoid of any rash or itching, or any sort of skin diseases.

Raw Honey

Raw honey is something that has been used by beauty freaks over the centuries and decades. It is believed that Cleopatra used to massage raw honey on her skin keeping it glossy, free of wrinkles and in shape. Raw honey has antioxidants, a number of hydrating properties as well as antibacterial agents, and thus helps in unclogging the skin pores and it also clarifies skin.

So you see there are no many household stuffs easily available in the market, which you can use in order to treat your skin. The most amazing thing is that all these stuffs are cheap and have no side effects. Thus, you can treat your skin by staying well within your budget, and by making sure that in your venture to look beautiful, you do no end up doing anything adverse.
